‘명호’는 남자아이가 태어나기를 바라는 마음을 담아 지은 이름이다.
영화에는 56세 여성 명호, 그리고 연이어 10대, 20대 40대의 여성의 이야기가 등장한다.
서로 다른 세대의 다양한 여성들의 목소리에서 비슷한 울림이 전해져 온다.

Myeong-ho, a 56-year-old woman, is unexpectedly given three chances to go back and change decisions from her past.
But can her life really be altered?
Her name, Myeong-ho, was given in the hope that the next child would be a boy.
The film extends that name to women in their teens, twenties, and forties as well, presenting them under the same name — as if they were all, in some sense, the same person.
Across these different generations, similar echoes emerge from their voices, resonances that speak to what it has meant to be a woman in Korea.
